Hey there, I am so glad that we get to serve you today through this podcast.

I pray God is going to speak to you.

Romans chapter 2.

I'll begin reading in verse 12 through verse 16.

Because we've been in and out, the context is difficult this morning.

We really, really need to be refreshed on what we've studied in the last couple of weeks.

So let me just give you a brief reminder. Romans 1 when we hit the point of

verse 18 speaking of the wrath of God being revealed from heaven against all

godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth.

And Paul continued on to tell the readers of the letter to the Romans

that this wrath would be revealed and the kind of sin and depravity in increasing

measure that comes upon those who go to the labor and it would be a labor to suppress the truth that is obvious

to the eyes of those God has created.

When he gets to the end of the portion

about the wrath that will fall on those

who have taken on certain mentalities

and certain kinds of lifestyles and practices. He begins then to reason in his mind.

He already begins to hear the words of some who might be among self-righteous Jews who would begin almost to mock and almost to rejoice over the suffering and

wrath to come on those who suppress the truth. So then he begins in that second chapter of Romans by saying

you better be careful that you do not judge because you who judge do many of the same things, meaning suppress the truth and thereby live,

whether in one realm or another, in disobedience, rebellion, and sin, whether through self-righteousness, pride, arrogance, superiority, whatever it may be.

So he's giving a warning and we learned a couple of weeks ago that he is having an imaginary argument with someone down on paper that it's a type of
