Summary

Although you won’t find it on most top ten lists of haunted places throughout the United States, this National Recreation Area plays host to a myriad of unexplained phenomena and downright chilling paranormal activity. So much so that some of its visitors report fleeing in terror during the middle of the night, vowing never to return.

But what could be so menacing as to make people fear for their very lives? Some say that spirits roam the campgrounds, hiking trails, and unexplored regions of the woods, while others report seeing glowing red eyes and strange creatures inhabiting the darker parts of the forest.

Whatever it is, bizarre stories have circulated around the area for decades, and tonight we’ll be taking a look at some of the unfortunate history and odd encounters that have taken place in and around The Land Between The Lakes.

The first time it happened, I was sleeping and woke up because I felt a hand on my leg,
