When you're stumbling in the darkness and you're lost out in the night

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Help me stay on the path of your

commands for I take pleasure in it.

When you can't see the wise choice to make,

the unfolding of your words gives light.

It imparts understanding to the simple.

When you feel dead inside, my soul clings to the simple. When you feel dead inside, my soul clings to the dust, give me life according to your word.

Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless and give me life in your ways.

This is my comfort and my affliction that your promise gives me life.

I will never forget your precepts,

for by them you have given me life.
