Today, we're going to take a closer look at this trailer, a trailer that we, and I'm sure all of us have collectively watched five billion times.

Take away from my most recent watch.

If I was a completely fresh viewer, a fan of Game of Thrones or just a fan of HBO, or someone that was on the internet the day that the trailer dropped because it was trending all over the place.

I would think that they're trying to do a different kind of show.

Hey, it's the Game of Thrones universe, but, you know, it's funny and lighthearted.

And this tale might just be about a coming of age story of a young guy who's just not a real night and those mean Targaryens aren't actually all they're cracked up to be.

And what better person to share this wisdom than a young kid that has some strangely wise and virtuous spirit for some reason?

And a very high-pitched voice and a bald head.

That's right, a strangely bald head.

Yeah.

So that's the vibe that I got after rewatching the trailer.

Obviously, we know more, so it was hard to go through the first viewing and not bring that point of view because we've obsessed over the story endlessly on this show and between ourselves.

But that was the takeaway.

So I feel like they successfully did that.

And we tried to record this podcast yesterday.

And one thing that you said within like the first three minutes was there was a turning point in the trailer.

Whenever Dunk was approaching the, I'm not sure what the character's name would be here,

but in the story where, or in the trailer where the guy says, are you Baylor Targaryen?

And then here in Hand's notes it says major tone shift, cut to Stable Hand and Dunk,

oh, no, then would you move the fuck out of the way?
