Summary

This week, Da7e and Neil return for their first pod of 2026 and it's back to Westeros for a preview of season one of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which debuts next Sunday on HBO.

In The Calm [05:26], they discuss what you should know about Ser Duncan the Tall and his diminutive traveling companion Egg before the show premieres. They also explain the role of hedge knights in Westeros, clarify the timeline, and highlight some important spoiler-free production facts.

Then in The Storm [34:56], Neil unleashes his book knowledge with a rundown of which houses we will meet along the way, which blondes we'll need to keep an eye on, and where the show might lead if it ends up getting 12 seasons (and by some miracle, George finishes 9 more short stories).

Next week, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms begins with season one, episode one, "The Hedge Knight." Which means Da7e and Neil will be back with more Calm and Storm thoughts in your feed on Monday afternoon.
