And welcome to our episode on

season one, episode five of A Night of the Seven Kingdoms, aka Duncan Egg, in the name of the

mother. A purely theoretical construct for poor Dunk, who is, like many characters in Westeros,

has a mom somewhere just off screen, probably laughing at him. Oh, no, she's definitely coming back, right? She's definitely coming back. I'm pretty sure the entire sixth episode will be about Dunk's mother coming back. Anytime anyone in Westrose is like, I know they're dead, but they could come back. I'm like, I've seen what happens north of the wall. You do not want your dead coming back. They're not friendly.

Or the best case in areas of John Snow, where you just never find out who your mother is, and you kept waiting forever, waiting for your dad or your uncle who most definitely probably

knows and not telling you. Are you? I want my mom back. R. You see Stoneheart? Maybe not. Never

mind.

So, as always, prepare to be spoiled for all things Westrose, the five of Song of Ice and Fire novels, especially the three Duncan Egg novellas, any histories, any interviews, any

winds of winter sample chapters, as well as the TV shows, Game of

Thrones, House of the Dragon, and the Night of the Seven Kingdoms, aka Duncan Egg, aka

occultz. Anything and everything. So this week's episode was written by Hira Martinez and

Ty Michael, as well as Ira Parker, and directed by Owen Harris. Just off the top, another really, really strong episode.

I thought the tourney action was all some of the best stuff I've seen from this show or any

thrown show in quite a while, some of the best action kind of sequences, set pieces.

The stunt work was incredible.

And the camera work surrounding the stunt work was actually really great.

Not a lot of, you know, shaky cam, not a lot of, you know, hectic cuts where you lose track of the action.

That everything was really well sequenced, well paced out. I think all of that was really cool.

The ending was just, you know, heart-wrenching in totality.
