i like our patreon page i find myself listening to those podcasts sometimes yeah night of the seven

kingdoms episode two man this was just like perfect i don't know who out there listening i don't know who else got snowed in, but we were snowed in. This was like a great watch after shoveling. You know, this show is just, it's very pleasant. The score, the overall tone and the atmosphere, I think, you know, obviously the original series did a great job of capturing Westeros, but this one feels almost like a slice of life you know the pacing it's a

bit slower and even though there is death there is violence uh there are mature serious themes

it it feels a bit lighter and i felt like what they did for for these characters in this episode

was it just made them even more relatable especially the conversation i think uh you know between

dunk and egg and eggs like i've always been called puny and dunks like everyone always called me stupid

and then he doesn't elaborate yeah it's been very funny very cute and uh the introduction to

some of the new characters in this story like baylor macar sir donnell i think a lot of people

enjoyed uh the knights of the kingsguard and seeing the white armor. So another good episode, short and sweet, but I enjoyed it. What about you, Aaron? Yeah, it's been very enjoyable so far. I think the, I mean, just mentally, the 30 minute episodes, you got to like mentally prepare. Because it's like, in the back of my head, I'm always like, oh, it's almost over. And like, I'm so used to just being, because it's like in the back of my head I'm always like oh it's almost over and like I'm so used to just being whether it's house of a dragon or game of

Thrones that just being like expecting an hour plus so these 30 minute episodes have been yeah I do

want more but obviously we knew the story coming into it like it lends itself to the shorter episode shorter season so

it's a smaller story which has been its strength so far i think like we talked about last week

this smaller story not you know the character of dunk being a bit of an unusual protagonist when

it comes to this world he just kind of wants to honor himself wants wants to honor Sir Arlen, and he just wants to, like,

there's no ambitions of being a king or need a power, you know?

And I think it really benefits the show that we're just seeing a guy trying to carve out,

like, a little bit of happiness in this chaotic world.

Being thrust into this environment with him as our eyes has been like a refreshing view on the landscape of westeros yeah

and i think that george in his writing and obviously in the original series too that legacy was so

important for these characters they're always looking back on history and
