It is I, your best buddy Basil, and you are listening to Canary Cry Clubhouse, an opportunity

for all of us to take a deep breath to peel our eyeballs away from the screens.

Well, we're still looking at screens, but away from the nonsense,

the propaganda, the emotional triggering, the mind control, and the hyper-reality being crafted

around us at all times. You know, it's interesting because in our studies here, whether it's sort of media

studies or, you know, news analysis, we're really trying to understand not just what's being

presented to us, but how it's being presented to us and why it's being

presented to us that way. In the famous words, the medium is the message, right? Doesn't matter.

I mean, the message is one thing, but the way in which it's delivered is a whole other thing. And it's a really

effective way to communicate. I mean, communicates not even the right word for it. That's a kind

word for it. You know, propagandize is one way to put it. But also, you know, we've spoken previously about the concept of hyper-reality,

which is the idea that, you know, those in control of presenting reality to us on a regular

basis have an incentive and are rewarded for, let's say, fudging the numbers a little

bit. When presenting reality, it's, the incentive is not necessarily to give a clear, accurate

picture of reality. There's all sorts of reasons to judge it up a little bit,

you know. And it's funny because in this process of, you know, learning about the history of

news or communication or propaganda or media in general.
