So I said, I'm Mildred, I'm from Toronto. My dry date is May the 18th, 1973.

And I want to thank you for the kindness with which you have welcomed me.

So many of you have come up.

And some of you, I may not remember your names, but your kindness doesn't go unnoticed. And so I'm very happy to be here and to share with you my experience.

I was going to say my thoughts. No, I'm going to share my experience on steps two and three.

And to do that, I've made a few notes because I've changed my mind about how I'm going to do this.

I've had a very difficult time with steps two and three.

And steps two and three have become the centerpiece of my life.

That sounds a little strange because at a time I would have said 10, 11, and 12.

It doesn't mean 10, 11, and 12 aren't important.

But I begin my day with 1, 2, and 3.

And to the degree that I start out, reminding myself, I have no power

of my own, number one, and thank goodness, I don't have to live with that, because into that space

immediately will step the false self, and it will run my life if I allow it.

But I have come to believe that there is a power of good, and that power of good has guided me.

Otherwise, I would not be standing here and able to say, last night we celebrated my 45th anniversary.
