0:14.1	And in this study, journeying through scriptures, we will take a brief big-picture look at every book of the Bible, tracing God's unfolding story from Genesis to Revelation.

0:38.1	We're beginning a journey today, a journey that will take us literally around the world, back in time.
0:44.6	It's an amazing journey. It's not a geographical one, it's a scriptural one. Today we're
0:49.9	beginning our journey through the scriptures. I'm so excited about our coming study because we're
0:55.2	going to walk through every one of the 66 books of our Bible, 39 books in the Old Testament,
1:01.8	27 books in the New Testament, and it's going to be an amazing journey. I hope you'll determine
1:06.9	right now that you'll be on this journey with us every step of the way. And I hope you'll
1:11.4	encourage others to join you on this journey. I'm thinking now of John Bunyan's famous classic book
1:17.6	Pilgrim's Progress. You remember Christian's journey to that celestial city. You know, as believers,
1:23.3	we're all on a journey with the Lord Jesus Christ. He's our constant companion. And along this journey,
1:29.8	the Lord has so many things that he wants to teach us. How does he teach us? He teaches us by his spirit
1:35.5	and through his word. God has so much to say to us in the pages of Holy Scripture. Now, most of you
1:42.1	who've listened to our broadcast broadcast know by now that my favorite
1:45.6	book of the Bible is the book of Philippians. And perhaps you have a favorite book. But in reality,
1:51.3	all scripture is given by inspiration of God. That's what 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 says.
1:57.4	It goes on to say, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
2:02.8	instruction in righteousness. In other words, we need it all. It's why the great apostle said
2:08.3	that he had not shunned to declare the whole counsel of God. It's why the Lord Jesus said that
2:14.4	man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the
