Okay, tonight, strengthening your immune system while you sleep.

We've heard a lot about our immune systems over the last couple of years, obviously,

and all the ways we can support them.

So let's take a look. First of all, there's two major parts of your

immune system. First, there's the doorway through which viruses and other pathogens enter your body.

And second, there's the army that combats anything that manages to get through the door.

Now, the door to your body is your microbiome, and principally the microbiome in your gut.

This is a huge, and I mean huge, and yet microscopic collection of good bacteria that lives in your intestines.

I know it's a little weird and gross, but it's the truth.

These bacteria are constantly protecting you against bad bacteria and viruses by combating them in your gut.

So stopping them at the door, stopping them from entering your body.

The microbiome was only named actually very recently in the year 2000, and we've only just begun to understand it.

And it's believed that these microscopic critters are responsible for roughly 70% of your immune response.
