a huge win for gun rights at the Supreme Court. And Tom Gresham is here to talk about it.

big, big news out of the Supreme Court. Lots of stuff going on for gun rights this week.

So welcoming in our expert, Tom Gresham, welcome in.

Well, it's good to be here. It is a huge news. And I think honestly, Ryan, I think a lot of

the media kind of it doesn't understand what just happened with the Supreme Court decision.

They're kind of focusing on the concealed carry aspect, which is a big thing, but missing the

even bigger news. Yeah, what's the bigger news? Well, the bigger news is the Supreme Court.

As I explained to somebody, they were like Sherman marching to the sea doing a scorched

earth march through the lower court decisions. Go back to 2008 with the Heller decision, 2010,

the McDonald's decision. And ever since then, the lower courts have been saying, yeah,

there's Heller. And yeah, there's the Second Amendment. But we have to balance that out with the

interest of the government to do whatever the government wants to do. So yes, we agreed,

there's a Second Amendment right. But we're going to offset that. And yesterday's Supreme Court said,

knock it off, kids, no more of that. There is no two-step deal anymore, because that's what the

courts have been doing. Maybe we should kind of explain the case too, right? So just the case.

I don't know what we're talking about. All right, good point. All right, let's talk at the beginning.

This is the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association versus Bruin case. It made it to the Supreme

Court. What it did is it challenged New York's scheme for issuing, or really not issuing,

to see OK permits. In New York, it's not enough to meet the criteria. You have to then prove that you

have good cause or proper cause to get a concealed OK permit. In other words, you have to go to the
