A woman is a crown, not a curse. In this episode of Brightheart, we continue with the sixth installment,

a short series entitled A Homemaker's Rules for Life, where we're working through some foundational

principles in the life

of the homemaker. What are we prone to forget in the thick of a busy day, week, and month?

What truths does she need to be tethered to in the gales of motherhood, the pressure of keeping a home,

and the business of a productive life lived before the Lord? For many of you, these won't be

brand new ideas. Most of what we need

to hear doesn't fall in that category after all. Did I snap at my kids because I just didn't know that I

shouldn't have? Was a woman disrespectful to her husband because no one ever told her that she shouldn't

be? Of course not. We all need to be reminded of these things from time to time. And so the sixth rule goes like this. A woman is a crown, not a curse. The Proverbs echo with this point. Proverbs 124 says, an excellent wife is the crown of her husband. But she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.

Proverbs 31.10 says, an excellent wife who can find,

she is far more precious than jewels.

She's a crown adorning her husband's head.

She is more precious than jewels,

bringing far more gain into her household

than a pile of sparkling diamonds.

So in this episode of Brightheart, we'll talk about what

this means and how a woman can shine as a crown, not bring death and shame as a curse in her home.
