We are nowhere near out of things to talk about, but even so let's talk about the weather.

As I write this a couple of weeks before you're listening to it,

Asheville, North Carolina is still partially underwater from Hurricane Helen.

Hurricane Milton is bearing down on Florida, and one meteorologist wrote that it's approaching the mathematical limit of what Earth's atmosphere over this ocean water can produce.

At the time, it looked like it was going to be the worst weather event in a year of really bad weather events.

In March, for example, over a thousand people were killed by floods in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In August, 830 people were killed by Typhoon Yagi in the Philippines.

From May 19th to 27th this year, an outbreak of 241 tornadoes killed 31 people in North America.

Just before the movie Twisters became the fourth highest grossing movie this summer.

In short, there's a lot going on outside right now.
