so 2023 is coming to an end and the holidays are here

Christmas Hanukkah it is it is all going down right now.

And it's also a moment to reflect.

Over the last two and a half years,

the Atlas Obscura Podcast has published

over 500 original episodes.

I think the number is around 522. I did the math. It is five

straight days of listening without sleep. You would die. I do not recommend it. I might die just thinking about it, actually.

But we are crazy proud of what we have made. A quick shout out to anyone who has worked or is working on the show,

Camille Doug, Chris, Sarah, John,

Amanda, Johanna, Manolo, Botelaire, Gabby, Tracy, Gianna, Luz,

and everyone else who I didn't just mention, you all know how much you have added to the show, how much you have made it, what it is.

Of course, we are also tired. So we're going to take a break. We are taking a holiday break starting today and then

picking back up towards the end of January. But we are not going to leave you without

wonder because we are not monsters. leave you

open the day and we are not monsters.

Over the break, we are going to do something kind of like

that with some of our favorite episodes. In fact the word advent means to arrive
