Hey, welcome to the Daily Drive as we start this new week together. My name is Bro, and we have been

downloading some song lyrics from the Bible to help us be prepared for all the battles we face, kind of a beats and battles theme, if you will.

And we're looking at some of the Psalms that David wrote, and we left off last week talking about loneliness.

And we learned from Psalm 68 that God places the lonely in families, that God wants to surround me and you with people

that love us and can do this journey with us. Like always, before David lands on that truth about God

placing the lonely in families, he gets real honest with the way he is currently feeling. He talks

about feeling like a solitary bird alone on rooftop, and he says,

O Lord, turn to me and have mercy, for I am all alone and in deep distress. My problems go from

bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all. We talked about this a few episodes back, how when

trouble strikes when we face battles like loneliness,

we have a tendency to slide in what psychologists refer to as the three-piece, personal, pervasive, and permanent.

Personal is, I'm the only one going through this. I really am all alone. And you know what? It's all my fault.

Pervasive, everybody's talking about me.

Everyone avoids me.
