Summary

This week on the Curious City podcast we revisit a live show reporter Monica Eng hosted in early 2020 with Do312Chicago and singer-songwriter Andrew Bird. The violin playing, whistling musician asked us to tell him more about the history of some Chicago venues where he’s performed. We learn a fraternal lodge used to make their home in the Metro building in Wrigleyville. 0:00.0	Hey, it's Curious City reporter Monica Eng. Almost exactly a year ago, Curious City was part of a live show at the Goose Island Brewery to celebrate Chicago on what they call 312 Day. You know, March 12th, get it. As part of that event, I answered a question about the history of some of Chicago's music venues from singer-songwriter Andrew Bird.

1:55.6	I was at the Goose Island Brewery in Lincoln Park on stage in front of a crowd of about 60 people.

2:06.0	This was pre-lockdown, but something called the coronavirus was starting to close in on the city, and I admit it felt weird to be there. Don't, if you're going to cough, move out of the way and use your elbow.
2:09.7	And it feels crazy in retrospect, but at the time, lots of us didn't fully understand how COVID worked and how bad things were going to get. So we went on
