Summary

There are only a few days left of a year full of pain and heartbreak for many as the coronavirus swept through the globe. It left a trail of economic damage that can't quickly be fixed with a vaccine. The most recent Covid surge in the U.S. has more small businesses, especially restaurants closing for good or fighting for survival. Fox Business' David Asman discusses the ripple effects of restaurant shutdowns and retail restrictions on the U.S. economy and what other threats loom going into 2021. As of late last week, more than a million Georgia voters had already cast ballots for the Senate runoff election. Democrats Rev. Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff are trying to unseat Republican incumbents David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. If Democrats flip both seats it would even up the Senate at 50 Republicans and 50 Democrats, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris serving as the tiebreaker. Republicans need just one victory to retain control of the Senate. Greg Bluestein, a politics reporter at the Atlanta Journal Constitution, discusses Georgia’s Senate runoff elections and how President Trump's relationship with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp could have an impact on the outcome. Plus, commentary by K.T. McFarland, President Trump’s first deputy national security adviser and author of “Revolution: Trump, Washington and ‘We the People’ Learn more about your ad choices.
