And today we're going to talk about women throughout history pretending to be men and this came up in response to our video games episode where I mentioned that a lot of women pretend to be men online to avoid harassment or choose a general gender neutral sandwich.

A gender neutral sounding avatar name and I didn't realize until some listeners wrote in how common this practice has been throughout history minus the video game part the pretending to be men to avoid her ass men or or to achieve something part.

And just beside because I am a Marvel geek this is about Thor and Loki.

And I'm not a Marvel geek with me. Thor and Loki pretended to be women in Norse mythology as a ploy to get back Mill near and that's Thor's hammer of course and the hammer kidnapper wants a lady in exchange with said lady says hell no.

So Thor pretends to be her with Loki pretending to be her handmade and the kidnapper was surprised to see his bride a case or enough for 30 men and Loki explains it away as excitement and then Thor kills everyone anyway that's a literature example of men pretending to be women that I just thought was so I had to share it because I am a big Marvel fan because you're a geek.

I say that was love as a fellow geek you are very lovingly a geek one of my first roles because I do I have done some acting in my day and one of my first roles was as cow number one on Noah's Ark and I was the male cow and I had like a big like bull ring thing in my nose and you know when you were in the middle of the night.
