In today's episode, the concepts of truth-telling, honor, and the price of freedom are examined

in director Oscar Farhadie's drama from France and Iran, a hero, which was screened as part of the

DGA's global cinema series.

The film tells the story of Rahim, a man in prison because of a debt he was unable to repay. When he receives

a two-day leave, he is confronted with a crisis he would never have imagined. In addition to a

hero, Mr. Farhadie's other directorial works include the feature films Everybody Knows, The Salesman,

and A Separation.

Following the Global Cinema Series screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles,

Mr. Farhadie shares insight into the making of a hero with fellow director Ritesh Batra.
