This week we are discussing the adventure of the Egyptian tomb, first published in, of course,

the sketch magazine on September 26,

1923.

We're going to do what's become our traditional synopsis

of this rather traditional mystery puzzle.

So we'll start with the victims and I feel like we've had a bunch of these stories

where there haven't been many victims in the recent past.

This one has many victims because there are many

there are many murdered people so I'll start off with the first one and

that's Sir John Willard who is a well-known British archaeologist running an expedition

on a lesser known eighth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh and

upon opening the tomb of this Pharaoh who's named Menher Raw

he soon after keels over from a heart attack.

Followed by the death of Mr. Blibner, an American financier who he's basically a dabbler in whatever the most popular trend of the moment is in this case Egyptian

archaeology but he has a ton of money and so he's financing the expedition and

after Sir John Willard dies Mr. Blibner slices his finger open and after

Mr. Blibner slices his finger open and shortly there after dies of

septosemia.
