And we are covering some polaro and some very early polaro at that, aren't we?

We are.

And I didn't think that it was as early as it is because whenever I read a polaro short

story, I read out of my omnibus edition of the complete short stories of Akku Polaro

with forward by Charles Todd.

And the adventure of Johnny Waverley, which is the story we are covering in this episode,

is number 15 of 51.

So it's, you know, a ways down there.

So I figured to myself without actually looking at when it was published, oh, this can't

be that early of a Christie, but I underestimated just how many of these polaro short stories

Christie wrote in the early 20s because this is the 15th once you wrote, but it is quite

early, isn't it, Katherine?

Yeah.

It was first published in the sketch, yes, sir, in October of 1923 under the title, the

kidnapping of Johnny Waverley.

I suppose the actual title is the more accurate one.

Yeah, a kidnapping is more specific, isn't it, but perhaps the adventure of Johnny Waverley

is a little more hopeful.
