Summary

In a world where the pace and magnitude of change is beyond anything ever experienced by humans, we are being called to cultivate the qualities of calm, inner balance and a steady, wise heart. 0:32.7	One of my favorite phrases comes from a Buddhist master is a heart that is ready for anything. And so I want to
0:43.1	start off just inviting you to senses with me, what it means, that feeling of a heart that's
0:50.2	ready, that in some way is entirely open to all the possibilities and has that capacity
0:58.1	to hold whatever happens.
1:01.2	So imagine that for a moment, that your heart is ready for anything.
1:05.6	It's ready for hurts and losses for dying, for joy, for love, for beauty.
1:16.6	So you're considering what could be ahead, personal life, ahead for this world,
1:24.6	and what would it be like if you had a heart that is ready for anything?
1:31.8	I mean, can you sense a bit how trusting that your heart is ready for anything, how it frees
1:43.0	you to actually live these moments. You can just
1:48.3	sense. Would that allow you to stop controlling so much and just to cherish the life that's here?
1:57.0	Or to give you more moments of true presence.
2:03.3	So I start with this today because, and I think we can feel this, that the winds of change
2:12.6	are picking up both in terms of speed and intensity.
2:17.1	And it's hard for our nervous systems to catch up.
2:20.3	You know, our minds are predicting machines and it's hard to predict.
2:25.3	And so as our world, and this is talking about climate and politics,
2:31.3	economies, AI.
2:35.8	As our world and by extension our lives become increasingly uncertain and unpredictable,
2:43.3	so many feel this kind of not prepared.
