Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham.

In yet another historic week for Britain, in the early hours of this morning,

Theresa May agreed to a Halloween Brexit with the ghouls of the European Union,

the Draculaan figure of Donald Tusk, struggled to stifle his yawns as he

addressed the mass ranks of the media at 2.15am, and he was very clear on exactly what he

wanted us to do. Stop wasting time, was the main question which he gave an answer to, and it's now

going to be at least another six months before anything actually happens, or of course, nothing

actually happens.

As I predicted nearly three years ago, it feels like we are never going to actually leave the European

Union. And it certainly seems that as long as Theresa May is Prime Minister, there is no prospect

of it ever happening. So here's an idea for you, Mrs May. Step aside, call a general election

and give the people a chance to choose who they wish to represent them in Parliament.

And with a bit of luck, we will end up with a proper leader of a proper Brexit-dominated House of Commons,

and we can finally get on with doing a proper deal and properly getting out of the European Union.
