Hello, thank you for joining me for Give Him 15.

The title of today's post, A Great Symphony of Prayer.

Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask,

it shall be done for them by my father who is in heaven.

For where two or three have gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.

Matthew 18, 19, and 20.

Ephesians 416 says, from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which

every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,

makeeth increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The word agree in Matthew 18, 19, is the Greek word symphonyo,

from which we get the English word symphony.

It's easy to see the concept in this word, one sound made of many sounds.

There are many instruments in a symphony, all playing the same song, in the same key, with the same tempo, with one conductor.

Any deviation from these demands can be heard immediately, creating discord, dissonance,

perhaps even cacophony. I've heard too many cacophonies in churches.

With Holy Spirit as our conductor, a great symphony of prayer has been forming in America.

It can be heard in homes, churches, vehicles, forests,

along the sides of roads and rivers, on snow-covered mountains, and in lush valleys.

Listen closely, and you'll hear it, and you'll realize it is also in many languages coming from other nations.

The sound of the Ecclesia Philharmonic Orchestra is no doubt rapturous to heaven, filling the throne room with great joy,

even as it transforms into a sweet, smelling incense.

The second verse above, Ephesians 416, is less known by the church, but packed with anecdotal language describing the church.
