We're going to be doing so today by looking at Daniel, chapter 5 verses 1 through 12.

It's kind of a long passage so we're going to dive right into it.

It begins by saying, King Bell Shazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords.

Now let's pause for a moment.

It's an entirely different scenario than we were ingested in the last morning mindset

because in the last morning mindset it had to do with King Nebuchadnezzar.

So this is the next king in the Babylonian line, King Bell Shazzar.

And we're going to see Daniel being an influence on him as well.

So Daniel's place in the royal court in Babylon outlived the first king.

And now he is in the presence of the second king.

We're about to see the situation unfold before us.

It's that King Bell Shazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords

and drank wine in front of the thousand.

Bell Shazzar, when he tasted the wine, commanded that the vessels of gold

and his silver that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem,

be brought.

That the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.

Then he brought in the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple,

the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines,
