1 Samuel chapter 1 verse 1. Now there was a certain man of Ray Methem,

Mizophem and if you know how to pronounce it better, help yourself of the mountains

of Ephraim and his name was El-Kana. El-Kana. I'll stop reading there for the sake

of time but it's one of the most fascinating stories in the Bible and it's centered around a man

that most of you have never heard of. I would dare say that most of you don't even

know who he is. You don't know who he's connected to because there's some people in the

Bible that step out of the pages boldly. When I think of David, I think of Elijah,

I think of a character like Daniel, I think of other people and we know who they are.

They burst upon the scene famous for parting red seas, slaying giants,

performing miracles like Elijah calling down fire from heaven and then there are the people

like El-Kana who most people have never heard of and yet even though he's a regular guy,

he's a person in scripture who is not high profile, he shows up and he has a massive impact

on the world, on the earth, in his own family that would ultimately touch the whole kingdom of God.

I want to talk about him for just a few moments. In setting up this message,

I need to tell you that there are four things in the world that you need to consider today.
