| 0:50.5 | and that is trivial talk, otherwise known as idle chatter. It's really |
| 0:55.7 | amazing how we as women can talk for hours about nothing, at least nothing |

| 1:03.2 | Our culture is becoming more and more frivolous and shallow |
| 1:06.5 | and it's all too easy to fall into idle chit chat with our friends |
| 1:10.1 | wasting precious hours, as Amy Carmichael once said by deliberate choice on things that are not worthwhile. |
| 1:17.0 | Of course laughing and having fun with our friends can be refreshing and healthy and not every conversation has to be super serious in order to be edifying. |
| 1:26.2 | But mindless chatter about Hollywood gossip, Facebook fads, and pop culture's values will |
| 1:31.4 | only cause us to become distracted from Christ |
| 1:34.7 | and consumed by worldly things that are passing away. The Bible warns us, |
| 1:39.2 | do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world the love of the |
| 1:43.6 | father is not in him. For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh the |
| 1:47.9 | lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world |
