Summary

What if your favorite hidden gem of a café never really existed—or hasn’t in decades? In this eerie time slip encounter, a traveler visiting New York City in 1999 stumbles into a charming 1960s-style coffeehouse in the East Village. The food is amazing, the prices shockingly low, and the staff and customers all seem perfectly in tune with another era. But when he returns the next night for dinner, he finds nothing but a boarded-up, burned-out storefront—abandoned since the 1970s. Was it a glitch in time? A haunting? Or something that refuses to be forgotten?

1:37.3	rest holiday break in New York. I was 26 years old, just divorced from my first wife, and because

1:44.3	finalized, I decided to take a break for a week. I was tired and stressed at work. Thankfully,
1:50.3	my boss understood at the time and recommended I go to New York. It was baseball season. He
1:56.4	and I are both Yankees fans. I thought, I catch a game while I was there. Turns out the Yankees
2:01.8	were in Cleveland that week, though. Sadly, it wasn't until 2001 that I got to see them play live.
2:08.1	Again, while on holiday, not that it mattered as it turned out. I had enough excitement on this holiday
2:15.0	to last a lifetime. And it came in a very odd way, at least to me,
