Good evening, children. It's Granny MacDuff, ready with a story.

So make yourselves comfy, and I'll begin.

Once upon a spooky Eve, in a land called Hauntington,

there lived a little ghost called Rafe.

Only ghosts lived in Hauntington. It was a wonderful place, a bustling town

filled with ghosts of all ages. Rafe was the son of the mayor. They lived in a

big house at the edge of town. Rafe, above all, loved stories. He wanted to be a writer and

tell stories to all near and far. He loved the stories about the ghostly animals in the forest,

and how legend had it that an old ghost called Old Mack, or Old Mac for short, had once seen something so terrifying he never returned to town.

He ventured far away into the mountains and found an abandoned old mansion on the edge of a cliff.

To this day, that's where they said he stayed.

Raph wondered what it was the old ghost saw.

It must have been terribly scary, he thought.

But no one else agreed.

He probably saw a ghostly squirrel, they said.

What a scared cat.
