Hey Nick, thank you for your time to read my stories.

I want to start with my first encounter

of something rare and mythical

that I witnessed as a child

while vacationing in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

I was about eight or nine,

and I decided to take my bike out and across the bridge to a small convenience store to get some candy. The cottage my parents rented was

set along a rather large river that eventually goes out to the ocean. As I made my way into the small

store to get some more airheads, I noticed that it smelled like old musk.

I'm sure this place has been here for a very long time, and it gave off a rather uncomfortable feeling.
