This episode I'm reading from Samantha Leifka's book,

Born Awakened, an otherworldly true story.

When I've guests on my podcasts, I read their books to work out questions for the episodes,

and when reading these books, I always find such amazing information that never makes it into the podcast,

and here I get a chance to give you a peek into the book. I've put a link to the book

in the show notes, and I did seek permission to record this extract, and the author kindly said yes.

I'm going to be reading from a chapter called The Former Residence, and this is what Samantha has

written. What I'm about to share is one of the most bizarre experiences I've had while my body slept.

At the time, I knew it was a genuine spiritual encounter, but I didn't understand what I'd

witnessed. It wasn't until almost six months later, but I realised how profound it truly was.

On the night of February 9, 2024, I was drawn to the Britain House for an uncanny meeting

with the dead. I'm still piecing together the meaning of what I saw and why I encountered

people who lived there decades before I was born. I wasn't even aware of their existence,

unless they were part of the force behind the paranormal activity at the house. If that was the

case, maybe I knew them very well. I wonder if I was brought there to address some kind of spiritual

matter connected to these people who may have watched

me grow up from the other side. The power of this experience is difficult to express in words,

but I'll do my best to convey it. It began like a lucid dream. Mark and the kids were setting up

sleeping arrangements in the family room on the main floor of the Britain house.

I, however, was detached from them, watching from a different reality.
