The Twilight Zone podcast, Liverpool, England. I'm . ... At this point in our Twilight Zone journey,

we can look back at episodes written by our main Twilight Zone writers

and say that Rod Sailing has contributed several classic episodes,

those giants that we'll remember for all time. So too have Richard Matheson and Charles Beaumont.

But how about George Clayton Johnson? At this point in time,

George Clayton Johnson's writing career wasn't quite as

established or successful as his friend Charles Beaumont.

It was taking a little more convincing for him to get his feet

under the table of the Twilight Zone Writers'

club. He had two of his stories adapted by sailing for the show in season one,

with the four of us are dying and execution, which are good episodes. But how much is

George Clayton Johnson and how much is Rod Sailing?

We don't really know without having the original stories to hand.

Then season two saw him get the chance to actually write the teleplay for an episode with a penny for your thoughts.

Good episodes all and generally well regarded,

but had he only contributed these three,

would we speak of him as highly as we do today?

I think he'd certainly still be respected,
