is the core number, which is what economists mostly look at.

Well then why didn't you put that in the headline?

Why don't you use the number economists think is the most important number why do we use a different number I don't I've never understood this but anyway and and the media acts like know, well people get used to hearing the that the big

number, the not core number, though whatever that term is. But you're the media.

Right, and if you're going to say one paragraph later the number most

economists think is the most relevant number is well then start with that one go

with that one anyway that one is at 5.3 percent. That's when you strip out food and fuel because they're so

volatile, the core prices is up 5.3 percent in May compared to last year at this time, which is really something
