And that sent me scrambling looking at economic numbers over the years as I lay in bed at night.

But as China is the biggest world's economy by some measures by the measure most people use their second.

But growing and catching up to us every single day.

As going back over the decades, how recently China is in that position, it's absolutely amazing.

Looking at this list of the biggest economies, they've got the top 10 listed in 1980.

China doesn't even show up in the top 10.

Wow.

Including countries like Canada and Italy.

China can't even compete with Canada.
