Hello, my name's Dan. This is the Fun Kids Science Weekly, and we've got a pathology special for you today. Now, pathology is a part of science and medicine, which is all about solving puzzles. It's about looking at the evidence to find out what's happening inside your body, solving the mystery of what's wrong with you, why you might be feeling

unwell, and then finding the right treatment. Now, we'll speak to all kinds of different

types of pathologists in the show. We'll find out how they work and how they find the clues

to solve the medical mysteries. Also, we'll learn about a way that your body can catch diseases,

how it gets disorders, which stops you

doing even the tiniest things that you love, and then how pathology can help work around

that and help solve the pit puzzle and hopefully make you better again. I've got some of your

questions to answer to, and we've also got episodes from one of our favourite science geniuses

Professor Hallex on the show. He knows all about everything science, all to do with

medicine and we start off with him here telling us all about what pathology actually is.
