In our busy world, family time frequently gets neglected.

It is vital that we give attention to our families while we can,

and it is especially important to give attention to what God says in His Word about our homes.

For the next few minutes, let's join Scott Pauli as we open the scriptures and find God's

message for your family.

Are you building on a solid foundation?

You can ask any contractor, integrity is vital.

If you don't have integrity in the building supplies and in the design and in the construction

and all of the parts somewhere,

it's going to begin to crack and crumble.

I'm convinced we're seeing the crumbling of families today,

the erosion of the home today,

because the foundation is not what it's supposed to be.

So we're looking here, in light of our family at some

foundation principles that we can all build on. We've found two so far in the book of Genesis.

Let's add one more today. Our first foundation principle was that the family is ordained by God.

So we begin with the main character of all Scripture,

the main character of all of life.

That is God Himself.

God ordained the family.

He ordained marriage to be without shame.

He ordained marriage to be oneness in the Lord.
