The possibility of a COVID vaccine grows greater with each passing day.

And yet simultaneously, the danger continues to grow that some significant percentage of the population will not trust the vaccine. The breakdown of that

trust has to do with the erosion of our trust in all kinds of authority, in government authority

generally and in scientific and medical authorities in

particular. It also has very much to do with the deep partisanship that we're encountering in the

middle of this pandemic. To discuss trust, how it can be rebuilt, and what indeed needs to be done

to get an efficacious vaccine to the American public. I'm joined by Dr. Vivek

Murti. Dr. Murti was the Surgeon General of the United States from 2014 to 2017 during

Barack Obama's presidency. He's now advising Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on his
