You know, when Americans think the food scene, we think restaurants, recipes, TV shows, chefs,

but the rest of the world is dabbling in much deeper waters.

Prime example, the British hedge funds manager who bought up all the cocoa beans in Europe,

as in $1 billion worth or the equivalent of $5 billion candy bars.

Scotland has been able to get 55% alcohol into a beer glass,

and it sells for $1,000 a pop.

And in Japan, there's a TV show where celebrities award top stars to places where your feet

stick to the floor.

But the food's great.
