It's not very often I read a stat about football or any sport for that matter that I really go,

wow, is that right?

I need to double check this.

Because it doesn't sound right.

It makes no sense to me.

wow, that's unbelievable. But one hit me this week that just knocked me back. And I didn't even know what to think

when I read it. It's not really a stat. It's just a little factoid. There's nothing big or

major. I just couldn't believe it. Patrick Mahomes has been the quarterback, it seems like,

forever now, doesn't it? I mean, isn't it hard really to believe or remember a time when Patrick Mahomes was not

the Chief's quarterback?

I know he hasn't been here that long.

I know he's only 27.

I know he's got many, many, many years to go.

But after we've witnessed four straight AFC title games at Arrowhead Stadium, at a stadium that

was what?

50 years old that had never had an AFC championship game.
