began talking about yesterday. First Timothy the sixth chapter.

Anybody love the Bible in here besides me? Oh praise God.

The Bible is wonderful.

It contains the words of God, which those words contain the thoughts of God.

How precious are God's thoughts?

So precious.

Their life itself.

In 1 Timothy, the 6th chapter, we read this yesterday, let's look at it again.

This is our text for our study this week so far.

In the 6th chapter and the 12th verse 1 Timothy 612 he said fight the good fight

of faith well don't everybody say that out loud with me at least two or three times fight

the good fight of faith think about it when you say it. Fight the good

fight of faith. One more time. Fight the good fight of faith. Fight the good fight of faith,

he said. He went on to say, lay hold on eternal life.

For unto thou art also called and has professed, or that word also could be translated, confessed, a good profession or confession before many witnesses.

We emphasize these three concepts here in this verse, fight, that first

word, and then later on in the phrase, in the verse he said, lay hold, and in thirdly, he talked

about professing or confessing. Fight, lay hold, confess. Now these are not just suggestions, are they?

When he says fight the good fight of faith, the understood subject there is you.

And so he's addressing someone, so what's he's saying, you fight, the good fight of faith.

You lay hold.
