We all are right now.

It's a lovely day. The sun is shining and healthy. I'm healthy. I'm free. My wife still loves me and nobody's beaten my feet with a stick.

Everything else is gravy. Sometimes it's hot gravy. Sometimes it's cold gravy, but it's all gravy for me.

You know, it's funny because I preach a lot of that, you know, positive mindset and gratitude and perspective and how big of a difference it makes in people's life.

But before I get too far in, folks, Billy Hayes is an American writer, actor, and director, best known for his 1977 memoir, Midnight Express, which details basically your imprisonment in Turkey for drug smuggling

and then was adapted into the Academy Award winning film.

You later wrote more sequels, including Midnight Return and Letters from a Turkish Prison.

And you've won, like, or earned critical

acclaim for staging cock and bull story. Yeah. It was an English play that I got to direct in

LA, two-character play dealing with machismo, and it was in the boxing realm and what

what qualifies you at being a man and what disqualifies you,

wonderfully written piece.

And I got to direct it with two terrific actors in L.A.
