Summary
Cathy and Todd discuss A Few Good Men, a courtroom drama set inside the military justice system about power, loyalty, and what happens when following orders starts to feel wrong. They go through their usual categories, talk about why the movie still works all these years later, and give props to Jo Galloway who was dismissed for being “too much,” yet was right all along. The share why this film hit so hard for people who grew up learning the rules and then had to decide when to question them. PLUS they spend the first 10 minutes discussing the Chicago Bears – Bear Down!

| 0:40.0 | Welcome back to Zen Popcast. Just Zen Pop, baby. Oh, just Zen Pop. Or Zen Popcast is fine. We're going to go back and forth between both, but I just say Zen Pop because it's just easy. We are at the beginning of a four-episode track, and we are going to honor the memory of Rob Reiner, who tragically passed away last month, and we're starting it out with a few good men. Not sure the order of the rest of the month, but I think I have the movies that we're going to do. Well, and I think we only need three because we did Stranger Things for the first week. I know, so I got a feeling there's four left. We might. Well, we, I know that next is the sure thing. I thought we're going to end with the sure thing. No. Okay, sure things next. And then the other two I have are misery and Princess Bride. Oh, I didn't know we were doing Princess Bride. Well, I couldn't think of any, because there's obviously really good Rob Reiner films, but we've done when Harry Met Sally, we've done the American President, we've done stand by me, we haven't done The Shining. I don't forget it. That's not Robin. Yeah. Messing up. And that's, that's, I'm forgetting, Stephen King. Yeah. |
