I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you

in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's Word, and that heightens your

awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, if you listen often enough, you know,

every month we have our good friend, Dan Bennett, on the show, for what we've been calling a faith

perspective from the Hill. Well, as you know, if you've been listening in the last few months,

Stan stepped away from his role on Capitol Hill and now serves the kingdom in a completely different way.

So we still are touching on news items. If you listen to this show, you often hear themes of deeper life, of inner healing, of health, of wholeness, of redemption, of being mobilized in your

purpose. Those are kind of my sweet spot of things I tackle. But once a month, we do want to touch

on news items. And I will tell you, there's lots

of media that you can listen to and get stirred up. You can sit in your echo chamber and get so

stirred up to anger and bitterness that it leaves you nowhere except disoriented. And so I know

that you have your different choices on where you want to get your news. And I'm not, we're not,

I'm not a source of news. But what I want to do

with this time with Than is to lift up what is going on. And there's just nobody I trust more than

than Than to bring us a humble, calm, civil, biblical perspective. And even though if you're

listening and you feel like you're coming from the other side of the aisle, so to speak, I pray that you can approach the table today with a humble, teachable heart

because we live in a highly offendable world.

And as Christian, scripture says, don't let a root of bitterness take root because it'll

spring up and defile many.

And we think that we're maybe absolved from bitterness around our politicians, as long as I'm
