The Cincinnati Bengals and probably to be honest the Houston Texans that was an awful awful football game last night.

The Texans are their credit one and so they are not oh and two the Bengals lost and they are oh and two and they've lost both games at home and they haven't scored a touchdown yet.

And like I said yesterday the only thing that has kept the Bengals from being kind of branded as an awful awful franchise the likes of which we've never seen before is the fact that the Cleveland Browns are right down the road or right up the road from them.

So the Texans win 13 to 9 and a couple of things probably worth jumping out one Dishon Watson was not very good but he won so in his debut as a starting quarterback in the NFL he got the road when and he made one big play in that game and that was on a 50 yard rushing touchdown.

The challenge obviously 49 yard rushing touchdown the challenge in general is that you can't make a living off of running the football as a quarterback in the NFL and Dishon Watson did not look very comfortable in the pocket at all he finished 15 to 24 for 125 yards just an average completion of 5.2 yards and he got wrecked a couple of times but the important thing was he didn't make any disastrous decisions.

And his team is not 0 and 2 and in the division of the AFC South with Blake Bortles this one quarterback with Andrew Luck out for God knows how long it's got tolls on as a tolls in whatever his name is as another quarterback and with the Titans perpetually the Titans and unable to do anything right.

Eight and eight may win the division so you don't have to be great in order to be able to host a playoff game and snag that division championship so they're still in the mix huge moment huge win for him and for the Houston Texans but I think the storyline in terms of this game was one how awful it was but two it's going to be hard for the bangles to bounce back from this because they're now 0 and 2

and the team is starting to fall apart a little bit this was never a team that anybody had strong control over and by that I mean Marvin Lewis has never been a guy where you thought oh you know that guy he's got complete control of that locker room this is not the kind of team that's going to bounce back from a poor start and be so well disciplined and so well in lockstep with their coach that they can handle adversity like this.

This is a team that's going to spiral out of control I don't know if Paul Brown will ever fire Marvin Lewis the answer seems to be no but my God I don't know how things can be worse right now than if you are a bingles fan well after the game we got a couple of interesting statements let's start with my good old friend Pac-Man Jones who when he's not getting strut not when he's not shooting strip club bouncers and making it rain with garbage bags full of cash in Las Vegas he is screaming and.

Spitting on police officers and everything else definitely the locker room leader you want if you are a Cincinnati bingles fan or if you're a Cincinnati bingles team member and so of course Pac-Man Jones was outspoken and smart and and and and really really eloquent after this game oh no wait of course he wasn't here's Pac-Man this is the NFL you have to win all three sides of the ball and normally when you win special teams.

In defense normally when the game because you have one the field position of the game you know people right this and that and don't understand what the is going on in the game if you win the field position and you win the defense you should win the game period point point is is no no sugar cut around that that's what happens in the NFL you if you if you win a special teams and you win on defense you change the fill of the game and we just got to keep rallying that.

And then they're going to come overnight can't talk you tell now so.

You got to take it like a man to just keep working.

So that's Pac-Man Jones and actually probably the most reasonable thing Pac-Man Jones ever said and then the other downside is that's the defensive side of the ball people not it's not happy with what is going on there and AJ green is the star on the offensive side of the ball and he ain't happy and when your star wide receiver ain't happy things ain't going well here's AJ green after the game.

As a one of the leader of the offense man I just I feel like when we're not having to spark I need to ball my hands somehow somewhere we got to find a way to get involved and I do it right now.

Like this is up up and down and we got to find the get we got to find a way to get our playmakers to ball man like that's it is a superstar driven lead man not going to win without him.

AJ green made one play when Andy Dalton rolled out just threw it up in the air to triple coverage and AJ green went up and got it.

And at that point in time it looked like the Bengals might be able to actually get a touchdown but of course they didn't so again the final score 13 to 9 the Texans come into Cincinnati on a short week after looking awful against the Jacksonville Jaguars in their opener the Houston Texans get the win get to one and one.

Stay squarely in the middle of what will be an awful division race maybe I think you make a case you make a case that depending on how the Titans end up looking that the AFC South might be the worst division certainly it's the worst division this year but it's one of the worst divisions in the history of the NFL.
