you Lord as we come now the first Sunday of this brand new year we are buoyant to say the least with

excitement with with a zeal to dedicate you're you're a god that is very very much given over to new

beginnings you're the god who invented new beginnings and you're the God who invented new beginnings. And you're the God of redemption.

And you're the God of righteousness and holiness. And we all are here now on the very first Sunday

of an entire brand new year. And we're asking you, Lord, that you would fill us with your Holy Spirit,

that you would baptize us into the Word of God, that this year would be unlike any other year

ever in our lives, that we would be more devoted, more committed, more excited to follow Jesus

all the way through. And if by glorious plan, you would like to interrupt

this year with catching us up into your presence. We want you to know in advance. We're good with it.

Lord, we love you. We thank you. And Father, we happily look forward to this year. Use us according to your will.

And all God's people said, amen.

Church family, I'm going to ask you to stand if you would and look to the screens and get your notes ready for this special message this day as we christened this new year.

And we are looking at a message titled today, failsafe 2026 a fail safe a year of

26 whereby you now today we together can start a brand new year in such a way that the last

year is gone whatever great things have happened we leave that that with him. We don't keep looking back

and say, remember that great year. Or whatever bad things had happened, we don't look back and

say, I guess I can't move forward because of what happened in the past. I think you know what

the Bible says about that. The Bible says, forget about the past and move forward. And so God,

in his remarkable, wonderful way, has given us the changing of seasons

and not only the changing of seasons, but of time itself. And so we're calling this special Sunday

a fail-safe 20-26 Sunday. And we're going to be reading 2nd Peter chapter 1 and i'll read verse 10 and if you read
