And how that the poor man died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom,

and also the rich man died and in Hades hell,

lifted up his eyes being in torment,

and seeing Abraham afar off and Lazarus there.

The man he recognized being comforted in Abraham's bosom cried and said,

Father Abraham have mercy on me,

send Lazarus to me, that he may take his finger,

dip it in water, touch my tongue,

I'm tormented in this heat.
