and Andrew robert and robert's a genius uh... he's been in here before

great pairing general good who picked who

he uh... proposed the idea you know he's this is his 20th book wow

uh... he's never had a co-author before he's always done it himself

right after the russians invaded you crane we know each other very very well

we've done a number of events together around his books are various other

things he's interviewed me on stage a number of times and i've done the same

uh... and he

rang the up and he said we should write a book together that provides the

military historical context for you crane

so it would be again the evolution of warfare from nineteen forty five to now

as you know yet there's probably a second edition

in the offing that will have to address this terrible current crisis that's

ongoing that i'm sure we'll discuss but

it was his idea and and i thought what a terrific opportunity
