Out of a bit of for you. All right. All right, if you're a friend of the plot, and I hope you are, and we're happy to have you.

You've heard Phil and I cross swords a few times this draft season about quarterbacks.

I say there can't be five guys who are worthy of being selected in the top 15, Phil says to distill his argument,

well, you still need a quarterback. So if one is sitting there at 12 or 13 and he's ranked

18th or 19th on your board, you might want to make that move and go get them because it's an

important position. And then I'll counter

with, what if you can get a much better player at a different position we don't talk about?

Well, Phil and I batted this back and forth for a while. And our friend Mike Lombardi, former

Patriots executive, who works at the athletic now and also has a GM shuffle podcast, heard this conversation

that Phil and I were having, and he played it on his pod to give a reaction to it.

Here's the whole thing.

Well, I think this.

I think, you know, people say, well, you're talking out of both sides of your mouth, Lombardi,

because, you know, if you say it doesn't matter where we pick them, it matters how they play,

it still matters on what you think, right? So when I say it doesn't matter where we pick them,

it matters how they play. How we define how they're going to play does matter. So when you're

picking at 15, you better get a player that you believe. I think what Tom

current is saying is absolutely right. I think this draft is filled with guys that, you know,
