In this episode, number 198, I've invited my new friend, Sharifa Stevens.

The thing is, we all know that times of significant growth and maturation and perseverance don't happen

in the soil of convenience, in the soil of comfort and in the soil of control.

There's so much pressure to be all the things.

And we were made to be all the things.

It is counter Christian to be self-sufficient.

We were made to be interdependent, not codependent, but interdependent.

Even in our well-meaning Christian, beautiful enclaves of motherhood and schooling and ministry,

we can be putting forth a false narrative of godliness.

Boom, these are my favorite kinds of conversations when we take topics that could be controversial

and we address them in a grace-filled way.

We laugh together, Sharifa is a wise woman.

She is a seminary grad, a mom to two young boys.

She and I are going to address all the things from any agrarium to women in leadership in the

church, black panther, racial reconciliation.

I try to crash her be the bridge group.

And we talk about moms not accepting help, but it all comes back to our true identity,

the one that God has given us as the body of Christ.

And as one body that we are called to be interdependent, to go on mission together, that these
